Tim, I personally think Vista makes a better window than Alside. But those Alside numbers are pretty impressive. I don't love the design of the Mezzo, so I think I would have to advise going with the Vista on the face of it. However, I would say these two windows are pretty similar in terms of quality and craftsmanship.

I would personally turn to the quality of the installer and company doing the job as the deciding factor here. Check out online reviews, check with the BBB, and see what your gut tells you after speaking with both of them. Companies that use a bunch of slick advertising or high pressure sales are often the ones who won't be there for you come year 8 when something does go wrong with your windows. They're too busy trying to con the next consumer!

Vista Windows vs Simonton

I have had very good experiences with the Vista Windows. They are a great price and fully installed will only cost around $500 per window. I have extensive experience installing these windows over the past few years and I've never had a day's problem. I think you can compare them in looks to the Simonton windows, they are simple in design but filled with quality vents and locks. The only problem with them is the sill, even though it is sloped, it's not as good as the Sunrise or Gorell sloped sills.

Vista Panorama Windows

I am impressed with the Vista Panorama windows that I worked with recently. They are good mid-range vinyl windows and while the sill isn't very good, the price makes up for it.

Vista Windows vs Clear Choice

It was interesting to read recently that the PlyGem products were taken on by Clear Choice to give them a better position over Vista windows. A far as I'm concerned, Vista offers superior quality at an affordable price. I will say that Vista windows are a superior product to Alside vinyl windows.

Vista Vinyl Windows

I was wondering if the Vista windows are worth the money. I know they're made by Simonton, the only thing is they don't have the Simonton branding.

You have misread your information, Vista are not a Simonton window. They are in alliance with each other though. Vista is based in three locations throughout the US; Oklahoma, Georgia and Ohio. I have done extensive research on these windows and have found they offer good quality for the price and I would say they are worth it.

Vista vs B.F. Rich Windows

I way about to sign for the BF Rich R6 window and then I was told about the Vista's. The problem is I have done a lot of research, but am struggling to find any real information on the Vista windows and was hoping someone could offer some insight on whether they are a good window and whether I should stick to my original plan and go with the BF windows.

What I have found is that the Vista windows are mid-range windows. You may want to look at the SoftLite Elements, HiMark or even the Sunrise Restorations windows before making any final decisions.
