Home : Styles : Fixed Window Costs Fixed Window CostsFixed window costs will run $150 to $650 for a standard sized opening with the cost of installation included. Subtract 25% to 35% to find the cost for the window itself. A fixed frame window doesn't open like a double hung or casement, which makes them less expensive and more energy efficient.
Entry Level Fixed Window CostEntry level costs for fixed frames will almost always be a vinyl window, often times purchased at one of the big retail chains that sells replacement windows. These are typically a clear or single low-e glass, simple grid configuration, limited color options and a lower end vinyl extrusion. At this price point, most consumers will be hiring a local handyman or subcontractor from the retail store they purchased the windows from.
Mid Range Fixed Windows PricesMid range prices will open up lots of possibilities that include composite and fiberglass windows, as well as the higher end vinyl models. You can expect to have better seals and glazing, a low-e or low-e2 glass, as well as some additional color selections and grid options. At this price point, most consumers will be hiring a contractor or local company to do the installation
High End Fixed Window PricingHigher end pricing will typically be from a well known manufacturer and should be a fiberglass, aluminum or wood interior. You should expect excellent seals and glasing, lots of grid options and configurations, a low-e2 or low-e3 glass package and high quality craftsmanship.
Installation CostsInstallation costs will range from $65 to $250 depending on the contractor you use, the type of installation required, the size of the opening, etc.
