Picture Window Prices
Picture window prices can cost anywhere from $250 up to a grand total of $2500 or more - this includes the window(s) installed and installation fees for the contractor. A picture window is usually a large "showcase" section of a house where homeowners can take in the world outside. We will provide average price ranges for this style and option.
Entry Level Pricing
Beginning prices typically encompass the range of cheaper frame material like composite materials or vinyl window frames. Window glass is offered in two forms: single and double pane. Each is typically made with the basic low-e glass, which can come with fills or none. It is likely to come in the standard or typical sizing.
Mid Range Prices
Frames such as the fiberglass product, composite or a uPVC are usually included in the standard price range. You will typically get an upgrade involving argon and krypton fill options with the glass package. Larger windows or a number of smaller panes combined together are usually seen in the mid-range pricing options.
Products like wood clad, steel and high end fiberglass framing materials are included in the high-end category. Within this range, you will find glass package with quality energy proficient attributes like the double or triple pane glass, krypton fills, foam insulation, super spacers and the beneficial UV coating. Expect the sizing to be significant or several windows assembled in a relatively complicated way.
You should expect window installation fees to range from $50 to $1500 for each opening. For basic inserts or replacements, which basically requires the existing window to be swapped out, expect the cost to be about $50 for each opening. Larger projects, on the other hand, require time, experience and careful work in order to install and customize. These will result in high prices that can be as high as $1500.
Low End Fully Installed Cost
Low end fully installed picture windows will run $250 to $500. The Soft-Lite Bainbridge, Silverline 9500 Series or even a lower end Sunrise Window should be considered top selections in this price range.
Mid Range Fully Installed Costs
Mid range fully installed picture windows will run $500 to $1,000. Medium to high-end windows like the Gorell 5300 HiMark products and mid grade models from PGT Windows should be considered top selections in this price range.
High End Fully Installed Cost
High end fully installed picture windows will run $1,000 to $2,500. Examples in this price range include Andersen and Pella. One of our recommended brands that we encourage buyers to also learn more about is the Marvin Ultimate Window or even the Infinity (featuring fiberglass with Everwood interior).
