Climate Guard Windows Cost
Hi Tom! I stumbled across your website (what a wealth of information!) I've been in real estate for over 15 years, and I'm in my last class for real estate investment and finance.
Currently I'm working on an investment property in Naperville Illinois. The budget isn't great, but I'll make it work. The home was built in 1996, and has Marvin (or Anderson...I forget) wood windows. They're solid windows, however, due to lack of exterior maintenance for the past 24 years, there is wood rot and the windows need to be replaced.
The home will be listed in the upper 500s, while wood windows are better, the younger generation wants maintenance free, which is fine by me as there are budget restrictions. Below is a quote for window replacement (existing frame) with the exterior wrapped in aluminum.
The windows are from Climate Guard. I'm still learning (and will forever be learning) but does this appear to be a good price? It also includes two sliding doors.
I really appreciate your input. Unfortunately, the exterior/larger mechanics is eating away at the budget, but it must be done.

Laurie, while I am not an expert on Climate Guard windows by any means, they seem like they might be a decent option for an investment property. The price quoted is quite good for 17 windows and two patio sliders. I wouldn't think you could get much lower than this.
As I said, I'm not very familiar with Climate Guard, so you will have to do your due diligence on the quality of their windows and patio doors. The price quote though is quite good.
