Krestmark Series 200/275 Bid

Hi Tom. My wife and I are in the middle of a major remodel. The interior of our home is down to the studs. We had planned on ?upgrading? the 15 builder grade vinyl windows we had installed about 16 years ago, about half of them are fogged and they never were very nice looking.

However we learned that our contractor is planning to install 15 Krestmark series 200/275 single hung windows at a cost of around $680 per window. Based on my research these are just more builder grade windows. We?re not sure its worth ten bothering at that price. Based on my one;ine research there are much better quality windows available in that price range. What is your opinion?

William, yes, for $680 installed you should be able to get a much better window. A Sunrise Classic, an Okna 500 series, a Soft-Lite Pro or Imperial LS, a Polaris ThermalWeld, a Vinylmax Edison, a Vytex Fortis, a Zen Lotus (a relabeled Soft-Lite Pro), a Kensington Huntington, and a Simonton 5500 Reflections series all come to mind. These would be much better windows over anything that Krestmark makes.
