Target Home Window Pricing

Target DH Pricing refers to a standard sized double hung window with standard installation. Why do we use this as a baseline for pricing? The double hung window is the most commonly purchased window on the market. Horizontal sliders are the second most common and are typically priced 5% - 10% lower for the same size. A standard sized double hung window is approximately 28"W by 38"H.

Standard installation involves taking out the stops and sills, making sure there is nothing wrong with the interior frame of the opening and then replacing the window. Replacing the windows means properly measuring and leveling the window, securing it within the frame, using a low expanding foam for insulation (some contractors prefer traditional fiberglass insulation), and caulking and sealing the window. The window needs to be set and shimmed correctly and must be plum and square. Discover pricing and cost estimations.

Why Pricing Is So Difficult

Every project has 20 unique factors that can and will change the overall bid price - actual size of each opening, style of window, window frame material, glass package, color and finish options, hardware options, type of installation needed on each opening, etc. We do our best to provide you with general pricing, but there is no accounting for getting at least 3 local home window estimates from local contractors and window companies to get a firm understanding of your project specifics.
