The Colorado-based company purchased the assets of Serious Windows in 2012, which was based in Sunnyvale California. The company sells three fiberglass window series, including the 525 series, 725 series and their premium 925 series.

Window Features: Some of the features that the company touts for its products include extreme corrosion resistance, superior insulation, high condensation resistance, excellent strength to weight ratio, low expansion and contraction and, finally, a more narrow frame for a fuller glass area. The price point will depend on the model you select, the number of upgrades and glass options you opt for and the type of installation you require.

Alpen 525 Series Windows

The Alpine 525 series windows boasts up to a R 5.9 thermal rating. The 525 series is their standard fiberglass window that is certainly going to be cheaper than both the 725 and 925 and has some very nice features. These include foam insulation gas fills, a spacer, triple weatherstripping, and a dual sealed perimeter. The 525 series can also be ordered in the S model, which is a higher performing fiberglass window that adds just a bit to the overall price.

The window can be ordered as a fixed frame, awning, single, casement, slider, double hung, bay or bow, arch top or in a number of geometric patterns. The window can also be ordered in a number of SDL configurations that includes a colonial, Prairie, double Prairie, ladder and faux interlock design. The company also offers a number of different paint and finish options, as well as options in terms of hardware colors and metal hardware finishes. In the double hung, with the Alpine glass 50 option, consumers can expect the 525 series to deliver a .21 U factor, a 4.8 R-value, a .24 SHGC and a .41 VT.

The 525 and 525S series are comparable in price and quality to the Milgard Ultra window.

The Alpen 725 series windows boast up to a R 7.1 thermal rating and 99.5 UV protection. The 725 is the upgraded window from their 525 and includes several upgrades from this series. Similarly to the 525, the 725 can be ordered as a fixed frame, awning, single, casement, slider, double hung, bay or bow, arch top or in a number of geometric patterns.

The window can also be ordered in a number of SDL configurations that includes a colonial, Prairie, double Prairie, ladderandr faux interlock design. The company also offers a number of different paint and finish options, as well as hardware colors selections and metal hardware finishes. In the double hung, with the Alpine glass 7L selection, consumers can expect the 725 double hung series to deliver a .20 U factor, a 5.0 R-value, a .25 SHGC and a .41 VT.

The 725 series is comparable in price and quality to the Marvin Infinity.

Alpen 925 Series Windows

The Alpen 925 series is their best fiberglass window model from Alpen and delivers up to a 9.1 R-value and 99.5% UV protection. It is one of the top rated fiberglass models on the market and also one of the most expensive.

The window can be ordered as a casement, awning, fixed frame, half circle, bow or bay, and sliding patio door. It includes all of the grid and SDL options, as well as the paint and finish options of the 525 and 725 series. The casement window with the Alpine glass 9L will deliver a .15 U factor, 6.7 R-value, .22 SHGC and a .34 VT.

The 925 series is comparable in price and quality to the premium model offered by Inline Windows.
