DaBella Windows Cost Introduction

Explore what DaBella Windows cost and homeowner price quotes on the company's most popular window series and patio doors. Often, these price quotes are fairly high when compared with other local window companies. This popular home improvement company began back in 2011 and today has some 20 branches in the United States.

Currently, most DaBella branches are located in larger metro markets in the western half of the country (Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, you get the idea...). However, the company has been expanding eastward over the past 10 years - almost since they started. In addition to windows and doors, DaBella provides bathroom remodeling, gutters, roofs, and siding.

Bottom Line: I think if you're hiring DaBella for your windows only, then there are better options out there. If, however, you are having DaBella come in for multiple home improvement tasks, then I think it makes sense to use them. Of course, this is all premised on the idea that their pricing is fair, which is definitely not a given.

What They Sell And Install

In terms of their windows and doors, the company installs the Glasswing, Fairfield, and Mezzo series (certain branches only), all of which are made by Alside Windows And Doors (owned by AMI Windows). Additionally, in a few cases, certain DaBella branches sell and install Preservation windows, which is also made by Alside, but marketed as a stand alone window (nowhere on its website does Preservation say they are an Alside product).

Generally, Alside and AMI Windows (Associated Materials, Inc.) is a low end to mid range vinyl window and door manufacturer. I would say this applies to the Fairfield series. The Glasswing and Mezzo windows are a step up from the Fairfield. And, finally, the Preservation is another step above these other options. The Preservation would be my pick, but I think the Fairfield and Glasswing are your likely only options.

The Alside Mezzo window is a solid mid range vinyl series. While not all DaBella branches sell this option, this would probably be my pick over the Fairfield and Glasswing window and patio door series. I would rate the Mezzo window at a 4.4 out of 5 stars (this might be a bit generous).

Hi Bill, thanks for such a great email and information! I'm still a bit confused by how you make "money," but really appreciate your help. Attached is a quote from the company we intend to go with because they're the highest rated window company in our area on Thumbtack, have been around for quite awhile, and their quote was the second lowest of the SIX I got (I cropped their info off the quote to avoid conflicts etc). Several other bidders are upset and claiming this quote is too low to be trustworthy. But this company is rated as high if not higher than theirs on Thumbtack.

But because the Anlin warranty is transferrable, we think we're going to go with Anlin instead of Milgard. And they said they can install Anlin for about the same price. We're near Sacramento California. And Simonton, Milgard, and Anlin seem to be the main top tier brands around here for retrofit vinyl windows.

Also, I did use your form, and I think DaBella contacted me. But I quickly had to tell them I'm no longer interested because of their aggressive sales tactics that were like dealing with a timeshare company! Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Scott, sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I was taking some time with the family. So, I love Anlin vs Milgard Windows. The Trinsic is a good window though -- still not as solid a choice as Anlin.

You are correct that DaBella can be pushy, so I am glad you moved on from that option. And yes, Simonton, Milgard, and Anlin are the main contenders on the "west coast" -- and you have the best brand available of the bunch so good on you for that! Much luck to you on your upcoming project.

The DaBella Glasswing is the upgraded window over the Fairfield series that offers a better glass package, components, and hardware options. The Glasswing should offer better energy efficiency and also be slightly sleeker than the Fairfield series. This is the company's premium window and patio door that I would rate at a 4.4 out of 5 stars.

Tom, we plan to replace 5 windows in our historic district located home this summer. So, there are some restrictions that we have to follow due to the home's location and not many of the vinyl windows work. One that does is the ProVia Endure. However, he would be charging us $1900 for each window due to the grid options that we have to incorporate. Another possibility is the Glasswing series that is sold by DaBella. The rep seemed very sure that it would be up to code, so we are also looking at this. Their price was fairly similar at $1600 each.

Bob, I make this comment often in regards to DaBella. I like them if they are doing several improvement jobs around your home. If not, then go with the ProVia windows as this is the better window in my opinion over the "DaBella Glasswing option. Yes, the per window cost is a bit higher, but I would say that it is absolutely worth every extra penny you spend in the longrun.
