Builder's Vinyl Series
The Builder's vinyl (along with the builder's wood) is sold at the big box stores (HD and Lowes) and is a budget window that is cheap. There are lots of stories online of consumers getting burned with low cost alternatives like this. However, the windows will probably be fine for a number of years with good installation.

Premium Vinyl Series
Their premium vinyl is an upgraded version of the builders vinyl. Other quality vinyl windows in this basic price range include the Milgard Tuscany and the Gorell 5000 series.

Builder's Wood Series (Vinyl Clad)
The builder's wood window is a construction grade product that has a vinyl exterior and wood interior. It is an entry level wood window that may or may not be a good product. We were unable to find any information on this window. One product that we can recommend based on very positive reviews (although it will be priced considerably higher than this window is the Marvin Integrity with the wood interior option. Jeld-Wen Aluminum Windows (4 Levels)
Builder Series (Aluminum)
This is an entry level aluminum cladd window that is mainly sold to larger commercial and residential builders and developers. Most homeowners interested in an aluminum window would do best to upgrade to the Siteline or Custom Wood options below.

Siteline EX Series (Aluminum)
The Siteline is considered a decent window. Jeld Wen includes the nailing flange in the extrusion, which adds to the strength for new construction. The Siteline EX comes standard with a better-view screen and includes a solid warranty.

IPEX Series (Sliding Patio Doors)
This is one of the best vinyl windows made by Jeld-Wen that uses the "Evertone" finish that is a step up from painted on finishes. The double hung has a DP50 rating and has a lifetime warranty on both labor (if installed by them) and materials.
