Okna Windows Warranty
The Okna window warranties the vinyl extrusions and sash for the Lifetime of the window against manufacturing defects. The factory paint and the custom colors are warrantied for a period of 10 years. The insulated glass unit is also warrantied for life as well.
The Okna warranty is fully transferrable and honestly is one of the better warranties on the market. As always, homeowners are strongly urged to read the warranty in full to make sure that the terms apply to the specific product that you are purchasing.

Okna 400 Precision Weld
Their 400 Series is their basic window, but is one of the best of the bunch for a lower end product. The Deluxe package has a U-factor of 0.28, Air Infiltration of 0.05 and an SHGC of 0.30. You aren't going to realistically be able to get this installed for anything close to $400 - think more like $450, which would be a deal. It lacks the bells and whistles of their other models, but is an excellent basic model. The 400 is on par with the standard Sunrise window.

Okna 500 Windows Cost
The 500 series is available as a replacement or as new construction (which includes a nailing fin or flange and J-channel). The 500 has better performance numbers and some upgraded features from the 400, including a better sill wall and a Duralite spacer. On the performance side, the window has a U-factor of 0.25 (triple pane glass will knock this number down to 0.15), an Air Infiltration of 0.02, a DP50 and an SHGC of 0.28 - all very respectable numbers in a mid grade vinyl window. The 500 is on par with the Energex Elite by Affinity.

The 700 series is the name for their casements and awning windows. In my opinion, this is kind of an odd and confusing naming system. The 700 series are some of the best casement windows you can buy - a definite buy.

Okna 800 Windows Prices
The Okna 800 EnviroStar is considered by many contractors to be the best vinyl window out there - specifically the Okna 800 DX. The series is quite a nice looking window with a .080 frame thickness which means tons of strength and durability. The Envirostar comes in a number of nice looking interior and exterior finishes and colors and has some awesome brass hardware available. The window has a U-factor of 0.26 and an Air Infiltration of 0.01.
By no means is it a cheap vinyl window, in fact it is one of the most expensive vinyl windows on the market. But the best never comes cheap. The 800 is on par with the high end HiMark window - it's basically the same window.

Okna 800 Series Quote
Hi Tom, I got a price on 13, 30x52 inch double hungs with triple glass. They have to repair or replace 8 wooden sills and wrap some rotted brick molding. Company is in Cromwell, CT. They want 20k. I told the sales guy I just thought it was flat out too much. I was thinking maybe a 1k per unit considering quite a bit or repairs. It looked like an excellent replacement quality wise, but not at all at that price.

Hello Tom, my husband and I are replacing 11 windows we got one estimate on the Okna 500 for $11000 the other is also is the Okna triple pane 1800 for the same price. Do you have any thoughts on either one?

Michele, this is what's known as a softball question :) The Okna 1800 is the upgraded model from the 500, plus you are getting triple pane for the same cost. The 1800 triple pane all the way. However, I will say that the quality of the installation company should always play a big role in any decision.

Okna Windows Price List | Starmark Series
The Starmark is a composite frame that is a bit thicker than most, although it has pretty nice sitelines. There are installers who feel that the frame's bulkiness takes away from the viewable glass area. When composite frames are discussed by industry insiders and contractors, the Starmark is always mentioned as one of the best high end replacement windows. The Starkark is a much better version on a Renewal By Andersen.
