Anlin Windows Prices

Anlin Windows prices will run from 6 to 9 (on a scale from 1 to 10 amongst all vinyl windows). In many cases, they are worth the cost. Anlin makes some of the best vinyl windows on the west coast. The company operates a 220,000 sq ft factory in Clovis, California.

In 2021, Anlin sold their company to PGT. No drop in quality or significant change to their windows/doors has occurred .
( PGT Windows Prices )

Anlin manufactures a fair number of vinyl window series, along with one patio door in the Malibu model. Like many manufacturers, they sell their windows/doors through window dealers and companies across a number of states in the west half of the country. Anlin Win now available in California, Nevada, Colorado, and Arizona (as well as the Ali'i Extreme series sold exclusively in Hawaii and the Monte Verde Window series is sold as a separate line).

Anlin Windows/Doors come with a full lifetime warranty that includes a provision for accidental glass breakage. It is transferrable multiple times for the first 15 years from the date of purchase. All in all, this is a pretty solid window warranty.

As to Anlin Windows ratings, this will depend on the series you purchase. The Anlin Del Mar, for instance, gets a .03 air infiltration rating, which is a very impressive number. While we don't have an Anlin Windows price list, you should be able to get a clear picture of what you can expect to pay by using the homeowner examples below.

Anlin Windows Price List

Hi Tom We are in Aurora CO! Can you tell me the average difference in price for the Anlin Coronado infinite window with thermaplex and one without thermaplex. Also for the Del Mar series with and without the Thermaplex. Also difference in price for a standard sliding glass door with and without the thermaplex. These would be windows being replaced! thank you for any input! We had a quote of 14.000 for 11 windows and 1 door with thermaplex included installation! Just trying to find out difference in price for thermaplex as we were told about 100.00 per window. If they are that more efficient and some large windows and some smaller I would think the difference would be more! Any input would be appreciated thanks!

Genny - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Genny, I apologize, I don't know the answer to this question. I've never heard of thermaplex. I googled "Anlin windows thermaplex" and found not a single mention of this on their site. Seems weird they wouldn't have information on a feature that they are using to promote their windows. I know that thermaplex is a type of grease -- that's about it. They are charging $100 more for the use of thermaplex...puzzling, I would ask them for some literature on thermaplex myself and see what they say...

Anlin Windows vs Champion

Hello Tom, I have been reading around on your website and found it very helpful to hear your comparisons of different brands. I'm writing you because we received a bid for a brand I didn't see on your site and wanted your thoughts.

We are replacing 18 windows (mostly slide and double hung, one large dual slide but nothing overly fancy) and two sliding doors. We have builder's grade Milgard windows from 1998 that have yellowed terribly due to the SW facing direction and Colorado sun that beats on the back of our house and lets in extreme amounts of heat in the summer.

We received a quote from Champion today that about knocked us over - $49,696 for their Comfort 365 windows. We liked the construction of the windows as explained by the sales person, but honestly weren't thrilled with the pressure from that company, but that's neither here nor there.

The other quote we received was for Anlin and that came in right around $20,000 which includes a few windows on the back of the house with their increased UV coating. I have found nothing but good things regarding Anlin online, and now am somewhat confused which we should go with if heat transference and yellowing are our biggest issues.

Our main question for you is 1) is Champion so much better than Anlin to be more than double the price? We have yet to really negotiate with them but it will still end up significantly higher I assume, and 2) if we go with Anlin, will we achieve our temperature reduction and yellowing resistance goals like Champion claims they will do?

Thank you so much!

Maury - Homeowner - from 2022

[Site Editor's Answer]

Maury, hi, thanks for the question.

1) is Champion so much better than Anlin to be more than double the price? No, Champion windows are on par with Anlin. In fact, I would probably go with an Anlin over a Champion at the same price myself. I'd get rid of the Champion Windows prices quote myself.

2) if we go with Anlin, will we achieve our temperature reduction and yellowing resistance goals like Champion claims they will do? The vinyl has improved significantly from 25 years ago so the yellowing should not be as bad -- you could still see some in 30 years, but what are you going to do? The fact is that Champion and Anlin probably get their vinyl from the same manufacturer, one is not going to be better than the other.

If this were my project, I'd toss the Champion bid, get two more bids to compare the Anlin bid with, and make my decision.

Anlin Windows Reviews | Catalina Series

The Anlin Catalina window is available in a single hung, picture window, combination, single slider, as well as additional geometric shapes and opens. This model comes standard with equal sightlines, a 2 7/8" frame depth, .080 extrusion thickness, double strength glass, a single ventilation latch, triple silver coated glass, low maintenance exterior coating and a proprietary SuperSpacer known as Platinum Elite.

Consumers can choose from three grid types, numerous patterns, two casing styles, five hardware materials, fourteen exterior frame colors and two main glass packages. For instance, the single hung Catalina with the InfinitPlus and argon gas fill glass package option will produce a U-factor of 0.27 and an SHGC rating of 0.22. (Both very solid numbers.) The Catalina model is roughly comparable in quality and pricing to the Soft-Lite Classic window.

Anlin Windows Price List

Hello Thank you for all your responses. Have two close bids on the Anlin Catalina with Malibu sliding door. Just the standard glass but still energy star rated. Glass company Colorado Glass? Single hung windows

1. Both bids are from companies in business only 5-7 years. Should I look for longer in business?

2. Does the transcom window above the sliding glass door need to be replaced?

3. Asking for 50% down and a start date in March. Is that typical for down payment? This is for both companies.

4. One company though has a plan of $'s per month and then can pay off at any time. Do not have to have a down payment. Have you heard of this? Otherwise they have a special deal no interest financing for I believe one year.

5. There is an increase, wouldn't you know it. I would ,for one company, have to have the bid signed off today. The other company by Monday. 7.5% increase

Please note the pricing below. I have listed the pricing for each company with the window above the sliding glass door.

Company One:
Price before increase: $10,870.92
Price after increase: $11,686.00 This one states on the bid a date of 3/23 and a finish date of 4/07

Company Two:
Price before increase: $11,519.90
Price after increase: $12,186.90 This one has no start or finish date listed. He said March but then it could be moved into Feb. No date used.on the bid..

6. Have one more bid today andI probably need a bid on something besides Anlin?

7. One thing I noted is the difference in the R factor even though the same confir. .29 on one and .27 on the other

8. I know there is a price increase but should that have me move quickly to sign something.

Thank you so much.

- Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Have you looked up the companies to see how their online reviews compare to one another? This owuld be my first step, but I wouldn't get hung up on the down payments and financing and all of that. I would choose the company with the best reputation based on reviews from Google, Angi's List, and Homeadvisor. Just look up [company name reviews] and see who gets the better ratings...

Anlin Catalina vs EZ Vinyl Windows

Tom, live in California, here is my quote (attached PDF) . . . I'd like to go with Anlin Catalina Vinyl Windows from Tesla Windows

As an alternative, my wife got a quote from a handyman, $5,300 for EZ Vinyl Windows, a generic brand name from HD

Can you comment on this quote . . .

10 replacement windows and 1 patio slider

Anlin Catalina $9820

Cambria $8180

Handyman, $5,300 for EZ Vinyl Windows, a generic brand name from HD

Robert - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Robert, 10 replacement windows and 1 patio slider for $9800 is not a bad deal at all for Anlin Catalina from Tesla Windows, which gets excellent online reviews. Good quality window and good quality installation company. Price is fair by today's standards.

I've heard of Cambria Windows, but have never heard a consumer comment on their quality and have never seen them myself. They have no online reviews, which is an automatic no for me, unless your intention is to move out of the home in 5 to 7 years or less.

Handyman using cheap windows from HD only flies if you are flipping the house ? and even then I don't think I could endorse that option :)

Anlin from Tesla for $9400 would be my preference. See if they will come down to that price point and then go for it.

Anlin Luxury Vinyl Windows Estimate

Hi Tom. I live in Southern California and got an estimate on replacing 11 windows and 2 patio sliding doors for Anlin Luxury Vinyl windows/doors. The estimate was $22, 930.

Does this estimate seem reasonable?

Z - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Z, definitely at the higher end of what I've been seeing...I'd say keep going to see if you can find either a better deal or a cheaper alternative that you can take back to the Anlin rep as leverage...

Here are my Southern California recommendations: [redacted]

Dane - Site Editor - from 2021

Anlin Catalina Windows Cost

Hi Tom! I'm having my windows installed today. They are 17 Anlin windows and 1 sliding door. I also put $2k down and had to get financing at 6% from their finance company bc I didn't have all the money upfront. It was $25k for the 18 windows. That's after an $8k discount they gave me they said was from the City of Long Beach energy program that gave stipends and also they had me agree to use my house as a showcase home from potential clients. I wasn't sure if the made that discount up.

Is $25k way too much for 17 Anlin windows and a door ?????

Thanks for your time!!

Cynthia - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Cynthia, you didn't overpay for your windows. First, because you already put them in, don't stress out about what you can't control. Prices have been crazy lately, your windows could be large or intricate in their layout...there are 20 factors that go into pricing and Anlin windows are probably the best option on the west coast so you got the best...

Anlin Catalina vs Simonton DayliteMax

Good evening, I'm in over my head on a fixer upper rebuild. By far worse then expected. The best two quotes I have are Simonton DLM & Anlin Catalina.

It is for 24 windows and 2 sliding glass doors in Northern California. It's a 2000 square foot home but for some reason it has to many windows. That many windows with 110+ Degrees some summer days, definitely want good windows. Thanks for your time.

Wayne - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Wayne, I would recommend the Anlin Catalina over the Simonton Daylight Max series. The only other recommendation I might make is to see if you can find an Amerimax dealer and get a quote on an Craftsman Portrait series window. I would rate that over the Catalina myself. The Bay Area is a bit tricky in terms of quality vinyl window brands and models, which always surprises me. The Simonton Reflections 5500 series is quite a nice window as well; quite a bit better than the Daylight max, which maximizes glass space at the expense of some energy efficiency ratings.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

Anlin Del Mar vs Catalina

Hi Tom, I got quotes from 2 companies for replacing windows (9 windows, 1 sliding door):

Company A: Anlin Del Mar: $22,000

Company B: Anlin Catalina: $15,400.

I am in San Francisco area. Which offer do you think I should take?

Thanks.

Michael - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Michael, both of those quotes are pretty darn steep for 9 windows and one sliding door. Even if the windows were $1000 a piece that means $6000 for an Anlin Catalina series sliding door. I would at least get a couple more bids to compare prices with...

You can always use our Price Quote Form. You will receive 1 to free 4 local bids (average number is 2). I'm not incentivized by any of the companies so I'm happy to provide you with unbiased advice on cost, quality, and long term value.

Additional Bay Area options I would look at include Amerimax, Milgard, and a high end Simonton like the Reflections 5000 series and/or the Impressions series.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

Anlin Windows vs Pella

Hey Tom, so I'm looking at replacing windows in our new house. It was built in 1980 and windows are probably original. We have 39 windows and 3 sliding glass doors. How would you rate Anlin Windows vs Pella -- among others?????

We have gotten many quotes.

Company 1-$40,000 Anlin Catalina Quote

Company 2-$32,800 Anlin Catalina Price Quote

Company 3-$22,000 Jeld Wen Window Costs

Company 4-$28,000 Milgard Trinsic

Company 5-$28,000 Pella 250 Series

Right now I'm leaning towards Company 2, but man it's a lot of money to spend. Our plan is to bundle it in with a solar loan at 1.99% over 15 years. What would you do? By the way I'm in central california, very close to Anlin Headquarters.

Tyler - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Tyler, the two that stand out for me are Company 2-$32,800 Anlin Catalina and Company 4 with the Milgard Trinsic price quote for $28k. I tend to think you are correct that the Anlin Catalina is worth the additional money IF you plan to be in this home for 20 plus years. I would go back to the Anlin dealer and see if he could match the Trinsic bid. In this market with how COVID has affected demand, I'm assuming he won't lower his price BUT it doesn't hurt to ask.

Here is an article I like on Negotiating A Window Bid if you were interested on going this route.

When it comes to Anlin Windows vs Pella, I'd give the nod of Anlin by quite a bit. Check out Pella windows cost here to see how they stack up.

Anlin Catalina Series Cost

Hi Tom, we received a quote for 6 Anlin windows and 1 slider door, I believe it was the Catalina series. They quoted $12,482. Is that high? A 70x33 XO window is $1,243 plus $165 labor. Sounds like I should be paying about $700 installed on average? The slider is $3,255 plus $365 labor. I?m getting more quotes but this was about double what I expected but I don?t have a frame of reference. Is it too high?

Ryan - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ryan, yes it does sound high. Anlin quotes have been quite high lately with all of the demand. Definitely get more bids and see where you are then. Simonton, Amerimax, and Milgard are some of the options in California. There aren't as many high quality manufacturers in your state as I would like...

If you would like some quality local bids you can always use our Price Quote Form, beginning with your zip code where it says Find Local Five Star Rated Pros. The bids are free and you can send them to me and I'm more than happy to provide you with my take on any cost quotes you receive. I'm not incentivized by any companies so I'm happy to provide you with unbiased advice on your best option(s).

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

Anlin Windows vs Milgard

Hi Tom, I live in Fontana, CA where it is super duper windy and dusty. I have 22 windows and 1 patio slider.

I was quoted (with installation):

$12,000 for Milgard Tuscany

$11,700 for Simonton Daylightmax

$13,700 for Anlin Catalina, and

$18,500 for Anlin Del Mar

Which window is a better choice for the cost?

The sizes are:

33x58 (3); 36x60 (13); 48x48 (2); 24x36 (1); 48x15 (2); 24x35 (1)

Thank you.

Sally - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Sally, I think the best value of the four bids you have is the Anlin Catalina at $13,700. This is a good price for 22 windows and a patio sliding door. The Anlin Catalina is a very solid mid range vinyl window that will serve you well in Fontana (assuming professional installation.)

However, I think if this were my project and I was moving anytime soon (10 years or less), I might go with the Simonton Daylight Max.

You have some very good bids though. Just make sure that the company selling the Anlin has a good reputation.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

Anlin Catalina Windows Price Quote

Hello! I think your site is great - very informative. I received a quote on 15 Anlin Del Mar windows w/the soundproofing, upgraded gliders, etc. The quote was $14,500. Specifics below:

(2) single hung 68V x 31 7/8W
(1) single slider 55 7/8V x 43 7/8W
(1) single slider 68V x 68W tempered
(1) single hung 68V x 20W
(1) single slider 68V x 68W
(1) single slider 56V x 44W tempered
(1) picture window 20V x 44W (single bar in the middle)
(1) single slider 44V x 56 W (grid pattern)
(1) single slider 20V x 44W
(1) single hung 32V x 20W
(2) single slider 56V x 44W
(1) picture window 56V x 20W
(1) single slider 56V x 44W

Is that reasonable? I got another quote for $9700 on Anlin Catalina windows, but that seems a little low.

Any advice/thoughts/perspective would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Derrek - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Derrek, the Anlin Del Mar quote is about what I'd expect, given what prices are these days. The Anlin Catalina strikes me as a much better value over the Del Mar. I would expect a 20% upgrade cost between the Catalina and Del Mar so the Catalina offers the better cost differential. I like the Catalina myself and think its a good window. Assuming you are fine with a good window (as opposed to a "great" window) then I'd pull the trigger on the Catalina price bid myself.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

Anlin Catalina vs Del Mar

Hi, love your site! I've got 2 quotes for 27 windows. $22.8k for Del Mar and $21.5 for Catalina. Which is the better deal? I'm in Arizona with a southwest facing exposure for most windows. Thanks.

Raymond - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Raymond, I think the price difference you are looking at is exactly what I'd expect between these two windows. I like the Del Mar better and if I were staying in my home for 10 years plus, this is the option that I would go with.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

Anlin Catalina Windows Cost

Hi Tom, I found your email address. I live in Southern California, and recently received a quote to replace 23 aluminum windows with Anlin Catalina windows, and the quote was $14,512. This quote includes the Infint-e coating with argon gas. Three of the windows as noted below include the sound package. Here are the window sizes, and they are either single hung, slider or picture windows:

70x60, 60x60 (x4), 90x60 (x2), 32x60 (x2), 36x60 (x7), 68x60, 20x60 (with Sound Package), 60x60 (x2, and with Sound Package), 22x30, 24x34, 48x18

I wanted to get your thoughts as to whether you think this is a good price? Please let me know if there is any additional information that you need. Thank you so much!

Emily - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Emily, this is a surprisingly good price in my opinion. Lately, window quotes have been through the roof. That looks like a very solid quote to me for the Anlin Catalina series.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

Anlin Windows vs Amerimax

Hi Tom, we would appreciate your opinion on replacement windows for our home. We live in the Denver, Colorado metro area and we are replacing 16 windows and a patio sliding door. We have the following quotes:

Anlin Catalina - $14K

Amerimax Craftsman Portrait - $13,900

Do you feel either of these Windows is better than the other? Do you think it is important to have the Windows manufactured locally (like Amerimax is) in the higher altitude of the Denver area?

Thanks for any opinions you can offer!

Victor - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Victor, these windows are pretty darn comparable to one another. What I like about Amerimax is they are made at elevation. Amerimax is the local company and I think you will find more support and dealers should something go wrong. Anlin is newer to Colorado and newer to making windows that work in the higher elevations. My choice would be Amerimax in this scenario.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

Anlin Catalina Windows In Arizona

Good afternoon Tom, I wanted to reach out and get your feedback on a recent quote I received on Anlin windows here and Arizona.

We are considering replacing the following windows below with Anlin Catalina Windows, single sliders, sound suppression package, and G340 sun shield.

1. 59.5W x 59.5W no grid pattern
2. 59.5W x 47.25H with the colonial grid pattern
3. 47.5Wx 47.5H with the colonial grid pattern
4. 35.25W x 22.5H with the colonial grid pattern
5. 71.5W X 47.5H with the colonial grid pattern
6. 59.5W x 59.5W no grid pattern

The total quote including install is $4900 and/or just over $800 per window. This seems high to me based on some of the information on your website I wanted to reach out and double check.

Todd - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Hi Todd. Yes, $800 a window for normal sized windows is high, but not out of the question. Without knowing the specifics of the project though, it?s super tough to say whether this bid is actually high or not.

I?d get a few more bids ? two is probably fine ? to see how they compare. They?re free and if nothing else they might give you a bargaining chip to use to see if they will come down off that price a bit. Nothing like good old fashioned competition to find a company?s best price.

Anlin Windows Prices | Panoramic Series

The Anlin Panoramic series offers more panoramic views by using a thinner frame than their premium Del Mar series. You're going to get less energy efficiency in this window, but more viewing area. This is a nice feature for big picture windows where viewing is important and the window maintains a fair amount of energy efficiency because it cannot be opened and closed. This window series is often used in conjunction with the Catalina series.

Anlin Panoramic Cost vs Simonton Madeira Series

Hello! Wonderful website...so helpful! We are looking to replace all of our single pane original windows in our 1960's ranch style home. We are located in Southern California, somewhat inland in an area that can reach 108 degrees in the summer. We are near the hills so we get consistent wind, our current windows vibrate regularly.

One of the things we love about our home is the natural light due to the extensive windows, unfortunately that also results in quite a bit of heat in the afternoon. We'd like to keep as much of that natural light as possible however we also want good quality windows that will last and still be efficient. A good warranty is also important to us with a manufacturer that will be here in 15-20 years.

We have 18 windows (of various sizes) and two sliding doors. I have narrowed down to 3 brands with the following quotes based on what I have read on your website. I'm not sure which to pick, I see you often recommend Anlin but just not sure if it's worth the added cost of approximately $1,700.

Milgard Tuscany: $19,178

Simonton Daylight Max: $19,698

Anlin Panoramic: $21,496

The Simonton vendor has offered me the Madeira line for about $600 more in case I want a wider frame option.

All of the vendors have great reviews and seem like solid choices.

Enrique - Homeowner - from 2023

[Site Editor's Answer]

Enrique, I think the > Anlin Panoramic for $21,496 is absolutely worth the extra cost. That?s not that much more money for the Anlin brand. To be honest, that?s a solid price for 18 windows and two sliding doors. Assuming you?re going to be in the home for a while, I would go with the Anlin myself.

In your opinion which is a better deal and what is the difference in the two windows?

Thank You for your help

Dave - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Dave, Anlin is probably the best made vinyl window on the west coast. The Panoramic is a solid window that provides lots of glass. I would think it would be fine for a climate like Sacramento. The Catalina is a better window, a bit thicker frame and a few upgrades, but I might have a hard time with the $2K uptick in cost. Seems steep for the jump from the Panoramic to the Catalina. If that price difference were $1K, I would say it was worth it.

Anlin Del Mar Windows Reviews

The Del Mar window includes several upgrades from the Catalina model, including a flush latch tilt mount and secondary ventilation latch. It is available in a single hung, picture window, combination, single slider, as well as additional geometric shapes and opens. This model comes standard with equal sight lines, 2 7/8" frame depth, .080 extrusion thickness, double strength glass, a single ventilation latch, triple silver coated glass, low maintenance exterior coating and a proprietary SuperSpacer known as Platinum Elite.

Consumers can choose from three grid types, numerous patterns, two casing styles, five hardware materials, fourteen exterior frame colors and 2 main glass packages. The single hung Del Mar with the Infinit-Plus and argon gas fill glass package option will offer nearly identical performance numbers to the Catalina - U-factor of 0.27 and an SHGC rating of 0.22. The Del Mar is comparable in cost and quality to the Sunrise window.

Anlin Delmar Cost Quote

Hi John, we just signed a contract using Anlin Delmar for 18 windows and one sliding door for $40k, reduced to $34500 agreeing to serve as a local model home. They also agreed to cover any frame dryrot found. Does this bid seem fair or way high?

We have four days to cancel if needed. We're in Orangevale, CA 95662. Thank you for any and all feedback.

Thomas - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Thomas, sorry about the delay, last week is a travel week for me. I can't say whether the price is high, but it seems quite high to me. I would continue looking if you are able. Here is my list of possible windows to consider...

Anlin Del Mar Window Price Quote

Hi Dane, thanks for the information. I got one more quote for Anlin Del Mar from another company for the same number of windows and doors. This one is for $13,000/- all inclusive. What do you think about it for 7 windows and 2 doors.

Tushar - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Tushar, the $13K is more in line with a fair quote for 7 windows and two doors. How are the company's online reviews? If they are good to stellar, then we are on track to a solid solution.

How Much Do Anlin Del Mar Windows Cost?

Hi, Tommy. I would love your advice on this quote:

Anlin DelMar Windows

Replace 23 windows and 5 Patio Doors.

Anlin DelMar Windows. Malibu doors.

Color is White inside and Black outside. Comes with Double Lifetime Warranty. Glass Breakage Warranty, Low E3 glass, Argon Gas, Easy Clean Glass, Extruded screens, Sound Suppression System. Precision bearings and Stainless Steel axles. Triple Weatherstripping. Foam filled frames. Thermal ridged reinforcement. Finish all inside and outside.

And includes Clean up and haul away all debris. Final price includes all labor, materials and taxes.

Price: $37,982

The windows are a variety of sizes. 5 large windows, 5 small windows and the rest are medium. There are 4 standard size sliding glass doors, and one really large one that's the equivalent of about four standard sliding glass door panes (so about double the width of a typical sliding glass door).

I really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you!

We live in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Thank you!

Patricia - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Patricia, not a surprising price quote given what you have. I would say that is fair, but not great. I would say that is the going price in your area given the heightened price increases during COVID. I would still get a few more bids to see what else is out there.

Recommendations would include Amerimax, Milgard, and a high end Simonton. The Anlin Del Mar is the better vinyl window than these alternatives, but not by a ton.

In addition, you can always use our Price Quote Form, beginning where it says GET STARTED --> You will receive 1 to free 4 local bids (average number is 2). I'm not incentivized by any of the companies so I'm happy to provide you with unbiased advice on cost, quality, and long term value.

Anlin Windows vs Window World

Tom, I am unable to find another Anlin dealer in my area that I can compare prices against. One dealer only sells their Catalina Series but wanted to use block frames on four of my windows since there is a foam pop-out around the window and he did not want to take the time to trim the regular frames down. I called Anlin since I have never heard of doing that and they said do not let them use block frames for a retrofit.

The other dealer will only sell their Delmar Series. There was almost a 6k price difference between the two and with the exception of the sound glass which is standard and supposed to have better frame construction I felt that was way to big of a price gap.

I then looked at Simonton windows and got a quote from both Home Depot and Window World who are the only vendors out here for that brand and both quotes came in right at 10k, which is right on par with the Anlin Catalina Series.

I am working on getting a price from Home Depot for just the windows to see how much my savings will be since Window World claims they only charge a flat 80.00 per window and 200.00 for a slider for installation so I am sure they are marking the windows up considerably. More on Window World prices.

The biggest thing I found was by upgrading the Simonton window glass to what they call their Title 24 series the specifications for them versus Anlin is the U factor for Simonton is .29, Anlin SunMatrix is .26. Solar Heat Gain for Simonton is .23, Anlin is .17. Visibility for the Simonton is .54 and Anlin is .52. UV Block for the Simonton is 92% and Anlin is 99%. Air Infiltration for the Simonton is between 0.06-0.08 while Anlin is at 0.04. Anlin does not even offer a total R value for the windows while Simonton is listed at 3.45.

With those tight numbers I am not sure if its worth the extra 6K for the Delmar series. The Catalina Series would be the same cost for the Simonton except for the incorrect frames. Since I live in the hot desert out here with summer highs pushing close to 120 day and 90's at night would I notice the difference in the heat transfer into the house with the UV Block number difference?

Thank you.

Anlin Del Mar Thermomax Quote

Hi Tom, we are looking to replace 11 windows in our home in Phoenix, AZ.

We have two quotes right now for a retrofit replacement.

Anlin Del Mar with thermomax? 13K

Simonton Daylight Max 7.5K

I have read that the Anlin windows are better, but are they that much better? Is that a good price for Anlin Del Mar windows?

Thank you.

Ashilynn - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ashilynn, yes the Anlin Del Mar windows are better than the Daylight Max...but not $5500 better. Not in my opinion. I would love to see what a Simonton dealer would quote you out on their Reflections 5500 series, if possible. This is a better window. The Daylight Max uses a thinner frame that does provide light, but it is at a cost of energy efficiency and comfort, especially in all that Arizona heat.

Amerimax might also have a dealer that services your area. The Amerimax Craftman Portrait series is nice. The Milgard Trinsic is also a nice window that is probably better than the Simonton Daylight. Milgard is definitely out there as well.

It's a good quote on the Simonton Daylight, I will say that. The Del Mar quote is like their COVID-time quote. I think they are just super slammed and they are throwing out high ball quotes to see who bites. Their lead time is probably 2 or 3 months, so they have nothing to lose...you on the other hand do...this is where I'd start to get a full picture...

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

Anlin Del Mar Sliding Door Cost

I got a quote for 9 windows & 1 slider for 12k installed. It?s the anlin Del Mar series. Is that a good price? It?s a full frame insulation.

Joseph - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Joseph, if this is for 9 windows and a slider patio door with full frame installation, then this is pretty fair pricing. It couldn't hurt to get a couple more bids to see what's out there, but this is not out of line with what I would expect.

Other brands you might want to consider include Amerimax, Milgard and Simonton. These company's premium series are more or less on par with the Anlin Del Mar series.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

Anlin Del Mar Price Bid

Tom, we appreciate that you provide this service.

We live in Mesa, Az. in a single story stucco home built in 1993. The windows are aluminum, double pane, definitely on their last legs.

We just recently received the below quote for an Anlin Del Mar retrofit vinyl window replacement. The window vendor is having an April sale; no tax or installation cost if purchase of 8 or more windows.

My question is if a price of $12,500 for 11 windows (measurements below) is a fair value for this model of Anlin products?

Thank you so much for your time, Dave.

Dave - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Dave, is it fair market price...kind of sort of. Market prices during Covid have really jumped. But paying $1136 per retrofit window seems very high to me. I wouldn't pay that much. I would go grab some more bids. In Arizona, a roughly equal window is the Milgard Trinsic, Simonton Reflections 5500, and the Amerimax Craftsman Portrait.

I would still put the Anlin Del Mar at the top of this list in terms of quality and construction, but these bids will at least put the Anlin bid in perspective. Perhaps the bid is fair, but you won't know until you at least get something to compare it with.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

Anlin Del Mar Costs Bid

Hi Tom, we received an Anlin Del Mar quote from Best Exteriors in Sacramento for for 22x white vinyl retrofit windows + 1 slider on our 35-year old 3,122 SF house in the Bay Area:

9x SH, 6x XO, 1x OX, 1x XOX, 3x PIC, 2x Trapezoids, 1x 8-ft sliding door

We got the same cash pricing as our neighbor at $18,782 including taxes. The only negative so far is that my wife dislikes the slight greenish tint of the anti-glare coating but can live with it. Any thoughts? Many thanks.

Douglas - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Douglas, pretty fair quote based on the pricing I'm seeing out there these days. You may want to get a comparison bid, but what you have so far is very solid in my opinion. Yes, the greenish tint can be a bit tough at the beginning. I feel like the eye adjusts quite quickly and the energy efficiency and/or anti-glare benefits outstrips the color tint by quite a bit. All in all, I'd say you have a winner in that Anlin bid.

Anlin Del Mar Price Quote

Just filled out the form so you guys get a commission. Thanks for all your help - your site and insight are super helpful!

David - Homeowner - from 2021

Thanks David for the form. I?m happy to weigh in any bids that you receive. I'm not incentivized by any company so my number one goal is to make sure you get the best product at the most reasonable price.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2021

[David's Reply]

In your opinion, are the Simonton or Amerimax better than the Anglin Del Mar? Was able to get another quote for the Anglin DM for just under $17k.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Anlin Del Mar is probably the best, but Amerimax does make quite a solid window. I'd stick to their Craftsman Portrait Series and Aristocrat Series. Simonton I'd stick with their Impressions 9800 series and Reflections 5500 series.

David - Homeowner - from 2021

Anlin Del Mar Windows Prices

Hope you had a nice Christmas. We are looking at 30 replacement windows on a circa 1994 UDC home in Phoenix. A local Anlin Dealer has come in at $50,000 without a detailed breakdown. But it is represented that this is a 35% discount. I suspect they think they have a live one because this seems ridiculous for Del Mar Series not upgraded. Besides asking the Contractor for a specific breakdown on the bid, what else do you suggest? Perhaps, run as fast as we can.

Thank you.

Chris - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Chris, that sounds really expensive to me. I would look for an Amerimax dealer and see if you can get a bid on their Craftsman Portrait Series. Also a Milgard dealer and get a bid on their Tuscany or Trinsic series. They also make an Ultra aluminum series that is good. Finally, see if you can find a Simonton dealer who sells the Reflections 5500 series. All of these windows with quality installation will serve you well.

Anlin Del Mar Quote

Good morning Tom, I live in San Diego and planning to replace some of our old windows and patio doors. I was given a quote by a remodeling company for 8 windows and 2 patio sliding doors for $18,815.00.

I saw one customer in your website who shared her quote for 16 windows and one sliding door for $12800 just recently . The measurements were comparable.

I shared this to my contractor and he said that it was completely different market, San Diego and Torrance, Los Angeles which I don?t understand because its really just 2 hrs drive from here.

I hope I can get your input as soon as possible as our 3 days cancellation period ends on Monday .

Thank you so much in advance.

Donnah - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Donna, what windows and patio sliders did he quote you on? Sounds really high to me. At $1000 a window, you?re paying $5K a door? Holy smokes...

I'd get an independent bid from an Anlin dealer in San Diego and a bid from Newman on the Milgard Tuscany. See how they compare to what your contractor came back. Then make him match it or tell him you?re going to have the window guys do the windows and sliders...

Contractors are so busy now that most are charging pretty hefty prices that seem a bit ridiculous to me.

Anlin Del Mar Windows Quote

Hi Tom, I received a quote of $16,000 for 13 windows, supposedly for Anlin brand. I don't know which series though, but can you give me your thoughts on the following setup?

2 Picture (Tempered) 42x77
Sliding 78x35 (xox)
Sliding 72x34
Sliding 85x35 (xox)
Sliding 75x35
Sliding 92x34 (xox)
Sliding 48x48
Sliding 48x47
Sliding 65x47
Single Hung 48x36
Sliding (Bathroom) 36x36
Single Hung (Bathroom) 19x38

If you can provide a number that is considered a fair quote too depending on the Anlin Series, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you.

Ritchie - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ritchie, sounds high to me. Those are some large windows, but that's a hefty price tag. I'd get a couple more bids. Milgard, Amerimax, and a high end Simonton are all west coast windows that are roughly comparable to Anlin. Anlin for me is the better brand, but you need some context to comparison shop your project.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

You're the best, sir. They came back and lowered to $13K after I cancelled. But I still said no, just because I am feeling very oversold. Like you say, it's best to get multiple quotes.

Migrade Tuscany: $4K

Please let me know your thoughts, Thank you!

Ketan - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ketan, the Del Mar is the best of those windows and worth the extra money over the Tuscany and Simonton. Not cheap, but the bids are close enough that I'm assuming there is some work to be done with your project. I'd go back to the Anlin dealer and tell him that you are willing to sign a work order if he can match the Milgard quote. He probably won't but give him a few days and see if he comes back with a better offer.

Do u have info on the anlin Del Mar line. We were quoted $2700 for 4 (varying size) With install, but can't find info online.

Jordan - Homeowner - from 2017

Jordan, here is some info - the dealer who gave you the quote should be able to provide you with tons of information. It is a good vinyl window. $700 per window strikes me as a bit steep though.

I would get a couple more bids: Milgard, Simonton, Amerimax -- in order to do some good apples-to-apples comparison. The bids are also good to use in order to negotiate a better price from the initial Anlin bid.

Anlin Coronado Windows Review

The Anlin Coronado window model is a double acting product that can be ordered as a double slider, double hung, casement, awning, bay or bow, as well as a number of geometric shapes. The Coronado uses a slightly deeper frame 3 1/4" to accommodate wood window replacements. This model comes standard with equal sight lines, 2 7/8" frame depth, .080 extrusion thickness, double strength glass, a single ventilation latch, triple silver coated glass, low maintenance exterior coating and a proprietary SuperSpacer known as Platinum Elite.

Consumers can choose from three grid types, numerous patterns, two casing styles, five hardware materials, fourteen exterior frame colors and 2 main glass packages. The Coronado double hung with the Infinit-Plus and argon gas fill glass package option has Anlin windows ratings of a U-factor of 0.28 and an SHGC rating of 0.21. The Corondao can be compared in terms of cost and quality to the Okna 500 series.

Anlin Windows Cost : Coronado Series

Hello, Just read your site. As we made a quick decisions form sign today and save? which i don't usually fall for. Now I am stressed! Taking a breath and realizing the ?contract? is not binding as no money was exchanged. Wondering if things are different now (building supplies during the pandemic 2021 and updated versions) and different for this particular window company.

I especially would like to know what you think of the Coronado line (as we like the view thru the unobstructed pain of glass).

Anlin Window Cost Bid: $36,000

I am near Boulder, Colorado. Lifetime Windows and Siding came to my door. I had quotes for 7 replacements last year due to hail damage, but just now have the money from insurance.

A year ago I was between Alpen (a local Louisville/niwot company we had in our last home and loved) and anlin. Marvin was on my list too. So it wasn?t a huge leap to talk and sign on the line. But it was too fast and I think my husband is frustrated with me!

We had them price out 7, 11, and all windows to retro fit in existing place, but full frame? (?)

We liked the warranty. He said that only had white, but that is not true from their site?.

I have a list of questions when I call the sales person back

Ann - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ann, there are several options that I know are available in Denver, but I'm not sure about Boulder. Anlin is one of the options. Amerimax is a Colorado based company and they make good vinyl windows. Zen windows sells Soft-Lite windows and they might have a branch that services your area. Finally, a quality Simonton rep that sells the Reflections 5500 or Impressions 9800 series would be pretty close in quality to the Anlin options.

The Anlin Coronado series is a good vinyl window and complements the Del Mar series, depending on what type and size of window you are looking for. 35 windows for $36K is not cheap, unless you are looking at full frame installation. Window Replacement Cost

Regardless, I always say get a few bids to see how they compare. Sometimes the bids are very close to one another and other times there are huge differences in price. Either of these outcomes gives you much more incite into the fair market price of your project.

Please let me know your thoughts as to whether or not this is high, low, or within reason for Anlin windows. Thank you!

Jarett - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jarett, this looks really high to me for simple replacements. Perhaps you have lots of installation requirements that are driving that cost up. Normally, an Anlin window at the size you're talking about would run say $600 to $700 for a doube hung or fixed frame window.

7 windows for $12K is way higher than what I'd expect. The only way to really know whether the bid is high or not is to compare it to others. Maybe a Milgard quote, a high end Simonton quote, an Amerimax quote if you can find that brand. It kind of depends on where you live, but I'm guessing these other brands are available.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

[Jarett's Answer]

Hello Tom,

Thank you for your response.

I too felt that it was a little high, but I thought I would try to research further in the event I am under the wrong impression.

Monte Verde Windows Reviews

The Anlin Monte Verde is the company's "drop window" or less expensive option. It is typically not marketed under the Anlin name, but just straight up as the Monte Verde. Often, the dealers or companies that sell this model do not sell the Del Mar, Coronado, or Catalina series. In general, the Monte Verde is a decent mid range vinyl window. Nothing real special about it, but a pretty nice option for the price.

Tom - HWRC Editor - From 2023

Anlin Windows Reviews : Monte Verde

Dear Tom, our house is in San Bernardino, CA 92404.

Full replacement & installation of 3 windows...

Measurements from inside opening:

(2) are 44" W by 50" H

(1) is 60" W by 41" H

Estimates so far:

$3,808- 3 Monte Verde, Triple Low-E glass

$6,994.32- 3 Infinity from Marvin (Ultrex?), Argon gas fill, Low E3 glass.

Other questions:

What do you think about Single Hung vs Sliders?

Do Grids actually improve the SHGC rating of the window?

Are lead tests on all windows and doors prior to installation a customary procedure?

Should they be doing an Asbestos test when replacing frame and window?

I appreciate your kindness.

Diana - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Diana, I think in San Bernadino you can get away with going with the Monte Verde series. If this were my forever home, I would consider the Marvin Infinity windows, but otherwise, I would save the $3K, which is a sizable amount for that few replacement units.

I prefer single hungs myself and they will usually achieve better energy efficiency numbers.

There might be a little change in SHGC with grids, but it would be negligible.

Lead tests would happen with any home built before 1978.

Asbestos (when present) is almost always in the floor not walls so you wouldn't need to test for asbestos unless you were doing skylights (or if there was a reason to believe that asbestos was in the walls). I'm not an expert in this area though, so take this with a heavy grain of salt.

Anlin Monte Verde Price Quote

Hi Tom, my home is on two story, there aren't any special installation requirements that I'm aware of. I want to retrofit the 13 windows including 4 bathroom windows. Estimate from an Anlin dealer for both material + labor for Monte Verde is $5,631 and Catalina is $7,080. To the best of your ability, what price range would you say is reasonable/fair? Is Monte Verde a good Vinyl window? For cost saving, is it worth to consider Monte Verde vs. Catalina in this case.

13 Sliders
Sizes: 59"W x 57"H (1), 47"W x 57"H (1), 71"W x 59"H (2), 59"W x 47"H (2), 47"W x 35"H (1), 23"W x 23"H(4) and 47"W x 46" H (1 for slider & 1 for Picture/Casement for bedroom due to the Fire code).

Price: $5,631 for Monte Verde and $7,080 for Catalina.

I would appreciate to get your reply.

Thank you for your help,

Jane - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jane, the price you were quoted for the Anlin Monte Verde and Catalina are both very fair. If this were my project, I'd go with the Catalina, but I'd ask the dealer if he could get the price for the Catalina closer to the Monte Verde. See what he says. It might be his best price, because honestly that's a good bid you received, but it never hurts to ask.

I think the Catalina is worth the extra money over the Monte Verde model. However, I think you could use the Monte Verde and be fine as well.

Tom - HWRC Editor - from 2020

[Jane's Answer]

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your prompt response.

I want to ask is Milgard Tuscany much better than Anlin's Catalina? The dealer offer me the same price of $7,080 in January for both brands for my 12 sliders & 1 Casement/Picture. I heard there's a price increase for Milgard this month though. Please refer my earlier email on 2/3 for the measurement of my windows.

Thank you for your help,

Jane - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jane, I think the Anlin is a much better product than the Milgard myself. I would opt for the Catalina over the Tuscany.

The Anlin Malibu slider is well made, like most of the window series from Anlin. All in all, a very good option for west coast shoppers.

Anlin Malibu Sliding Door Cost

I got a quote for Anlin Catlina windows and a Malibu sliding door.

12 windows ($12,624) and 1 sliding door ($3,696).

Can you please tell me if this is a fair price?

Thank you very much for your time.

Teresa - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Teresa, the price you were quote is roughly the price I am seeing most of the time these days. Is it fair? Probably not, but it does seem to be the market rate for Anlin.

You may want to expand your search and collect more bids. One you may find a product you like just as much for less. Or two, you may find a lower price that you can take back to the Anlin dealer and ask him to match the price. This could end in a lower price quote on the Anlin.

I would recommend looking for an Amerimax dealer, a Don Young dealer, a Simonton dealer (only on their best vinyl series), and perhaps a Milgard dealer. I'm actually not certain Don Young has a dealer in Phoenix, but they should -- their 8200 aluminum window is a very good option in really hot conditions.

The rest should have a dealer in your area ? google ?Amerimax windows in [your city, state]? and local companies who carry the brand should come up.

Anlin Windows Cost Quote

Hi Tom, I stumbled across your website and am not sure how to post directly on it? We're looking to get our Windows replaced and went to NW Exteriors in Santa Rosa, CA for a quote. I know I should get other quotes (I'm trying to figure out where to get other quotes), but just wondering what you think of this quote. We have 18 windows but they are of various sizes. I don't like how he did not break down the quote between labor & product, or even show the prices for each window. Is that normal? I don't know if you know anything about doors, but I'm also including the door quote b/c it seems really high to me. Maybe you don't know about doors but maybe you do?

I went to another place in Santa Rosa (Mead Clarke) to see how their quote compared but they don't sell Anlin, they sell Milgard, so I'm not sure what to do. I guess I could get a quote for the Milgard Tuscany but that still doesn't tell me if this is a fair quote for Anlin...prices include installation.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Christina, it's not unusual to get a price quote that is not broken down by labor and windows. This is a fairly reasonable quote, but not what you'd call cheap. The door prices do seem high, but the problem is I keep seeing bids right at this price point. I'm sort of waiting for them to go down, but I am beginning to think this might not happen for a while.

I think the Bay View window quote is reasonable, but again the doors are not inexpensive, are they.

Get the Milgard bid and lets see how that compares.

Anlin Sliding Glass Doors

Hello, I came across your website while trying to determine the cost of Anlin sliding glass doors to determine if the quote we've received is fair.

We have been quoted the following:

Anlin Malibu Swinging French Doors 6'w x 8'h with SunMatrix/QuadraTherm coat- $4,600

Removal of existing 8' slider - $350

Installation & wall repair to close 2' gap (drywall, stucco, painting, etc) - $1,550

Total: $6,500

I'm wondering if this is a fair price for this model of french doors for the market in San Diego, CA.

We're not terribly familiar with french door brands and would also welcome advice on alternatives to consider.

Thank you very much for your time.

Best regards,

Jessica - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jessica, that strikes me as quite high. Have Newman Windows and BM Windows come out and give you a quote to compare their prices. This will tell you what highly rated competitors would charge for the same job with relatively equal products (although a would rate the Anlin products over Milgard and Amerimax, less so over the Amerimax.)

CP - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

CP, this is a pretty fair price from everything I've been seeing online. You may want to ask for a drop in the price only to see what they say. Here is an article on negotiating a window bid that you may want to check out if you are interested in this route. In general though, I think that price quote is reasonable enough given the spike in prices we have seen in the past six months.

Malibu Sliding Glass Door Quotes

Hello. I wanted to get you opinion on a quote I received for 6 Anlin Catalina windows with low E3 glass, Argon filled and Three Malibu sliding glass doors installed, for 9500.00? I do believe each window is pricing out to be 530 each and 2100 per slider.

Thank you.

Mark - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Mark, 6 windows and 3 doors for $9500 strikes me as quite reasonable for the Anlin Catalina series. The door and window breakdown is about what I?d expect. As long as the installation company has solid reviews and reputation, I would say you are good to go!

Anlin Malibu Price Quote

Hi, Tom. I came across your Q and A page and was hoping for your feedback; as a homeowner t is difficult to know if I am getting a fair quote or not, since the product manufacturers do not list their prices anywhere online.

I am looking to replace a 94" wide window (aluminum window with a stable center panel and sliders on the left and right side), with a set of outward swinging french doors or french sliding door. The stucco will need to be cut from the bottom of the current window, to the ground, in order to accommodate the new door. The height of the door will be 82.5".

I was quoted the following all inclusive prices by a local window and door dealer/installer, for the Anlin Malibu line:

Set of French doors (1 stable, 1 active) with sidelights: $8,000 for colored exterior/white interior, $6,800 for all white int/ext

French sliding door: $5800 for white int/ext, $6500 for colored exterior/white interior.

Is this a good deal?

Previously we met with Renewal by Anderson, who quoted us ranging from $11K for their basic sliding patio door, to 32K for wood french double doors with sidelights--which is way out of reach for us. The product seemed nice, though.

We are thinking about having our handyman/general contractor friend give us a bid on labor, and possibly going with a non-custom, 72 inch wide Jeld-Wen french door set (off the shelf product at Lowes or HD). We would have to reframe the current window opening and close off around 20 inch of width, though. We sure would appreciate any professional insight you might be willing to offer.

Thanks so much!

Shaun - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

Shaun, these prices sound very high to me for what you're having done. I'd be interested in the labor cost from your GC/handman. I'm assuming not more than two days of work and perhaps $1500 in labor? That puts you at $2750 or so for the Jeld Wen door, which is what I was going to estimate the price at originally.

You could also take a look at the Andersen french doors (wood or vinyl). Both Andersen and Jeld Wen make good doors. The Andersen wood clad doors are like $2500 and with a $1500 labor cost, that puts you at $4K, which is a heck of a lot better than the Renewal bid.

Anlin Door Price Bid

Just got a quote on anlin windows. Basically not very clear on pricing as windows are not all the same size but quite says $2650 per window and $6950 for the sliding door are they really that expensive

Debra - Homeowner - from 2020

[Site Editor's Answer]

That is REALLY expensive. Collect a few more bids to see if you just have a really complicated project or they gave you a ridiculous bid to see if you?d bite.

Amerimax, Milgard, Simonton, Ply Gem are all good to decent west coast brands.

It?s funny, sometimes I hear of Anlin bids that are very fair and other times they are quite expensive.

Anlin Malibu French Doors Cost

I received a quote for 4 sets of Anlin Malibu French doors installed for $4,200 per set or $16,800 total for all four. That seems crazy high to me??

Maya - Homeowner - from 2018

[Site Editor's Answer]

Maya, that does sound high to me. Try to get a couple more bids on an Andersen French door, Milgard, Amerimax, or even a Simonton french door. It's possible that the price is fair, but you aren't going to know until you get a few more bids. Make sure to tell each one of them that you are collecting bids and that price is certainly a factor. This will insure that they give you their best bid up front, instead of the price they want you to pay.

Malibu And Del Mar Series Quote

Hello, I was hoping to get your thoughts and feedback from the quote I received from a company that came knocking on my door shortly after I moved into my 1980's home.

3 - 8' sliding glass doors (Malibu series)

11- Windows of various size (Del Mar series)

I was quoted $17,000. I have been researching for the price of each window, but haven't been able to find any exact pricing.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Eddie - Homeowner - from 2017

Editor's Reply

Eddie, that seems pricey at first glance. Assuming the 3 doors are each $2000, your vinyl windows are coming in at $1000 a pop. I would get more bids because I'm thinking you should definitely be able to get a better price than that. The Malibu and Del Mar from Anlin are good windows, but they aren't that good.

I haven't seen your project, obviously, but unless you have some rather steep installation requirements, there are better deals out there. Since Anlin is only available on the west coast(ish) states, I would suggest getting bids from companies that sell Milgard, Amerimax and Simonton (stick to their premium models though).

Anlin Mar Vista Windows Reviews

The Anlin Mar Vista is another of the company's "drop window" or less expensive option. It is typically not marketed under the Anlin name, but just straight up as the Mar Vista. Often, the dealers or companies that sell this model do not sell the Del Mar, Coronado, or Catalina series. In general, the Mar Vista is an average mid range vinyl window. It's pretty darn close in specs to the Monte Verde option.

Ever heard of the Mar vista? We got a quote at $700 per window, which includes install. Is that a high price?

Billi - Homeowner - from 2017

Editor's Reply

Billi, I haven't heard about the Mar Vista. Is it an Anlin window? I wish I had some info for you, but I don't. I did a search for it and saw an Anlin trademark on it, but couldn't find anything more than this.

Anlin Windows Warranty

Anlin offers a very solid warranty for their vinyl windows. It is a Limited Lifetime Warranty (everyone in the industry labels their warranty this way so it makes sense for consumers to dig deeper than this to get the pertinent details.) Their warranty covers the frame, the sash and the components over the lifetime of the original owner. The warranty also includes an accidental glass breakage provision, which is a definite plus for consumers. For the first fifteen years (from the original purchase date), the warranty is transferrable. As with all replacement window warranties, there are limitations and exclusions that consumers should read and be aware of prior to purchasing your windows.
